APC Crisis: Court restrains Pro-Oshiomole group from disrupting NEC meeting

The proposed March 17, All Progressives Congress (APC) Emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Wednesday got the nod of an Abuja High Court, restraining the pro-Oshiomole National Working Committee from obstructing the conduct of the meeting.

Justice S.U Bature of the High Court of Federal Capital Territory, Maitama Abuja granted an interim order restraining Babatunde Ogala – National legal adviser, Lanre Issa-Onilu – National publicity Secretary and Waziri Bulama – National secretary.

The order restrained the defendants from interfering with disturbing or taking any steps or actions whatsoever described towards disrupting the meeting of the NEC of the All Progressives Congress by National Working Committee members scheduled for 17th March, 2020 or any subsequent date pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice already filed.

The court in the motion ex-parte filed by the party’s national Vice Chairman, North East, Comrade Salihu Mustapha against Babatunde Ogala, Lanre Issa-Onilu, Waziri Bulama and the All Progressives Congress also compel APC to give effect to the resolution of the NWC convening the NEC of APC scheduled for 17th March, 2020.

The trio of Ogala, Issa-Onilu and Bulama who are Pro-Oshiomole NWC members had declared the 17th March emergency National executive committee meeting Illegal, alleging that the convener lacks the locus to summon the meeting.
