CONNECTION HAS KILLED QUALIFICATION

CONNECTION HAS KILLED QUALIFICATION.
(Okita Oluwafemi Desmond)

No action is possible without creative imagination, and no great action is possible until a great imagination precede it. My today's writeup is just a thought but will be thinking out loud. Qualification ought to be the first criteria for a job in our dear country before a test of intellect and verbal reasoning can project but due to the situation of things today,  the first criteria is connection (who sent you here?). As I once said in EDUCATION A SCAM AND A SONG ON THE STREET, what prompted the songs can be traced to "Connection" because no matter the grade nor the institution an individual graduate from once a call up is rooted with connection, It takes grace.

This is the central idea; to contemplate, to conceive, to imagine, to fantasize, to think of a better reality, a desired end, to forsake or ignore the current undesirable reality,  and to then begin to fill the gap with prudent actions. There is tremendous help we can derive if only we can calm down and look within, if we can choose to employ our faculty of imagination.

From the word of Emerson,  "Man is weak when he looks for help outside himself. It is only as he throws himself in hesitant upon the creative force within himself that he finds the springs of success, the power that can accomplish all things. It is only when he realizes that all outside help amounts to nothing compared with the tremendous forces working through him that he stands erect and begins to work miracles. "

Graduates in their millions, who treasure the path of entrepreneurship, upon completion of their courses, generally prefer to lay supine in anticipation of a start-up capital. A greater proportion of them never came to terms with the truth that they carried the capacity to create some unique products and services they could sow and grow, and then parade as benefits for mankind; products that could yield the desired fortune. To live their dreams,  they must think; and that was the founding purpose of the school system.

Robert Collier wrote ; "Do not hide behind such silly excuses as that you have no chance, nobody to help, nobody to boost you, to give you a pull,  to help you to capital, nobody to show you the way. If there is something in you, if you are worth your salt, you will make a way if you cannot find one."

If you can dream it, you can do it and I always advice,  " Do not wait, the time will never be just right' start where you stand and with whatever tools you may have at your command and better tools will be found as you go along."  Aim for the moon if you miss you may hit a star.
